Being led by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and directed by a vision statement approved by the congregation, we feel confident that we are enabling the church staff on an exciting and bold journey of growth, discipleship and evangelism.

This year was once again a year of transition. We give our love and prayers to Rev. David Seyller, who retired as Senior Pastor after many years of service to the Northern Illinois Conference.

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee was busy during the first half of 2008 with the various activities that are involved when one Pastor retires and a new Pastor is appointed.

Our new Senior Pastor, Steven Bullmer, came to First United Methodist Church Crystal Lake in July 2008.  We welcome Senior Pastor Bullmer to Crystal Lake with open arms and open hearts.
